Beginning in February 2001, Fleer and Sports Cards magazine teamed up to provide readers with a sheet of six exclusive Fleer cards each month for six months. The 36-card set utilized the 2000 Fleer Greats of the Game design only with players on active rosters. The checklist included now Hall of Fame stars like Derek Jeter, Tony Gwynn, and Vladimir Guerrero.
While the set was limited to base cards and did not include autographs or jersey inserts, Fleer did a magnificent job extending the set to current day stars who were among the best during the turn of the century.
